To the Community We Love: A Letter from the Heart of VCTG

There is a specific kind of silence that fills a theatre when the house lights stay dimmed for a little too long. We know that for our friends and neighbors here in Wilson, the stage at Vision Community Theatre Group of Wilson, Inc. has been quiet for a while now. We’ve heard the questions, and we’ve felt the absence of the energy that only a live performance can bring.
When we first began this journey in 2007, we did so with a promise to create a "living history" for our community. Our mission was simple but powerful: to build a non-profit home that fosters growth, opportunity, and collaboration for everyone who walks through our doors. Those values haven't changed, even if our stage has been still.
Why the Intermission?
Sometimes, the most meaningful stories require a longer rehearsal. We’ve taken this time to breathe, to reflect, and to ensure that when we do return, we are doing it in a way that truly honors the legacy we’ve built together over the last 19 years.
If you’ve been wondering if we’re still here... the answer is a resounding yes. We haven't taken our final bow. In fact, the vision is glowing brighter than it has in years.
Looking Toward the Horizon
We are currently behind the scenes, pouring our hearts into planning our new season that we believe will be worth the wait. As we approach a major milestone for our organization, we are preparing to Celebrate BIG.
We are officially looking ahead to a multi-year journey. Starting this July, we are kicking off our 2026/2027 season, which will serve as the opening act for our 20th Anniversary jubilee stretching into 2028. This isn't just about putting on a show; it's about celebrating two decades of shared ideas, heartfelt performances, and the community that has supported us since day one.
We’ll See You Soon
To our loyal audience, our former cast members, and our Wilson family: thank you for holding a space for us in your hearts while we navigated this intermission. Theatre is nothing without the people who fill the seats and share in the story, and we have missed you deeply.
The stage is set, the planning is in motion, and the lights are beginning to warm up. We can’t wait to welcome you back home to Vision Community Theatre Group.
Stay tuned. Our best chapters are still to come.
Catch the Vision!!!
